What we do

We support children and youth to reach their full potential!

We provide the children and youth with a safe home which they can spread their wings from, eliminating all forms of Gender based violence and child protection violations. We also support vulnerable children in their education, both boys and girls.

Currently...

Turning a house into a home

In 2024, Sopadad finished process of constructing a new center. This center serves as a safe haven for the children. Step by step, we fill it with furniture and transform it into a home.

Growing a future

The children at SOPADAD learn how to cultivate land and grow food for a sustainable life. One of our next projects is to install rain gutters to protect the acre next to the house during the rainy seasons.

Providing water

Thanks to one of our wonderful donors, we were able to install a water tank and will soon be blessed with running water.

Prioritising education

We send all of the children to school. School fees and materials are expensive in Uganda but our number one goal is to gain enough funding to let everyone finish school.

We Build

In order to make education more accessible and to conduct our programs right at the center, we laid the foundation for our own classrooms. We envision our own accessible primary school, secondary school and technical school for skills. The foundation of primary school is already set.

We Strengthen

We believe that education, and employment gives people an inner strength to lead a better life.

Our projects

Creating awareness

Pauline, Margret and Sophia are the first Ugandan trainers of the MFM project. It helps young girls to understand their bodies and teaches them about their cycle in order to raise awareness to prevent early pregnancy and to gain a healthy approach to this sensitive topic.

Beside the children at SOPADAD, we also visit different schools and perform the MFM project there.

Connecting different worlds

We were visited by German students who volunteered at SOPADAD, helped in planting fruit trees and the flowers in the compound. They also carried out a program for the girls. Together with the German students, we visited Missionaries of Charity who also take care of the abandoned children in order to work together and make new friendships.

Laying in he groundwork for a successful future

The problem of alcohol abuse is on the rise and thus has affected many families creating domestic violence and divorce. This has affected the children and the youth. To prevent this, we offer seminars for parents, guardians and care takers and explain the mechanism and the effects of alcohol.

We are partnered up with Feed the Hungry Deutschland who kindly support us in terms of our donations and give out donation certificates.
